Iameter is a physician-founded, health outcomes management firm with almost two decades of experience in producing data that objectively measures and improves the clinical quality and cost efficiencies of hospital performance. It was established in 1983 to objectively assess the severity of patients’ illnesses and was the first company to use coded medical records data and statistical algorithms for severity assessment in lieu of manually abstracted chart data. It was also one of the first vendors to have met the criteria for inclusion in the accreditation process and be included on The Joint Commission's list of acceptable systems.
